The second I SPY CD-ROM targeted to a younger audience, I SPY Jr. Puppet Playhouse continued the extremely successful partnership between Scholastic and Black Hammer. Working with Scholastic's design team, Black Hammer developed an extremely successful edutainment title by using a proprietary object-oriented design framework and Macromedia's Director software. Employing advanced programming techniques, Black Hammer created a cross-platform title with high performance animation, intelligent game play and minimal memory requirements.
In I SPY Jr. Puppet Playhouse, preschoolers solve riddles and I Spy puzzles to explore fantastic stories, strengthening early reading and math skills, vocablary, and pattern recognition in exciting, fun ways. Full of whimsical animaton, sounds and surprises, the I SPY Jr. Puppet Playhouse captivates children every step of the way. I SPY Jr. Puppet Playhouse is specially designed for preschoolers, featuring clear voice-over assistance and animated instructions that young children can easily understand. I SPY Jr. Puppet Playhouse, like its predecessor, was developed using guidelines set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and with direction from experts in early childhood development.
