Black Hammer completed a series of projects for MOUSEsquad.org, a website that teaches secondary school students in New York City and across the country how to maintain their school computer networks through a series of inventive programs and tutorials.
Our work included the creation of a new look and feel and navigation mechanism, a Flash tutorial, a CD-ROM version of the website, and a new database, user registration mechanism, and administration interface.
The MOUSEsquad website and Flash tutorial were designed to draw students into the content while differentiating the site from its parent, MOUSE.org. The database application was created with open source development tools to provide a robust and extensible database and interface for managing MOUSEsquad user information. Functionality included a 4 tier registration mechanism, with varying levels of access based on user type, custom search and sort options, and the creation of exportable lists and reports.
